Ductless Mini Split

What is a Mini Split System?

A mini-split ductless system is a “split” system, meaning its components are located inside and outside the home. However, unlike traditional HVAC systems, ductless units do not rely on air ducts to route air throughout your home.

A ductless unit is designed to heat or cool a single room, a zone, or an addition to your home that may lack or cannot accommodate ductwork. Offered as both an all in-one heat pump and air conditioner application, the units are unobtrusive, quiet, easy to maintain, install and operate.

Want a cool bedroom but a warmer home office?
A Ductless Mini Split is your answer.

Better Air Quality

Single and Multi-Zone

It’s no surprise dirt, dust, and other debris can find their way into AC ductwork. However, this is not the case with a mini split system. These systems use a specialized deodorizing air filter. This means your ductless system eradicates bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants in the air that can cause health and respiratory problems. They can also help to limit humidity and trap hair, dander, smoke, and other particulates.

A single zone regulates the temperature in one room versus a multi-zone unit that regulates the temperature in up to eight separate rooms. Whether you choose a single zone application or multi- zone, both options consist of two units: A mounted indoor unit and an outside compressor.

Mounting Options

Installation

These energy efficient mini-powerhouses come in a variety of mounting options including wall, concealed slim-duct, ceiling cassette, and floor-mounted. The versatile design blends discreetly with any home décor. Most indoor units have profiles of about 7” deep and usually come with sleek, high-tech- looking jackets.

The indoor unit can be mounted on a centrally located wall or ceiling within your home that easily connects to an outdoor unit. Mini splits require only a very small hole to be drilled, making them less susceptible to air leakage and security problems. Installation can take place with minimal disruption typically in a single day’s work.

Daikin Inverter Technology

The Daikin inverter system is a highly efficient technology that uses only the energy it needs by controlling the motor speed within the unit’s compressor. The system operates quietly and continuously, maintaining a consistent temperature while conserving energy. This function can help reduce energy consumption by up to 30% or more (compared to traditional fixed-speed ducted systems).

Daikin Intelligent Eye Sensor

The intelligent eye is an infrared sensor with the ability to sense movement in the room. When you are in the room, the system operates normally. If you leave the room for more than 20 minutes, the system automatically changes to an energy-saving operation. The intelligent eye can offer savings up to 20% in cooling and up to 30% in heating, compared to units without this feature.

Control From Anywhere

Forget to turn the temperature down? With the convenience of the Daikin app, you can adjust the temperature to your liking from anywhere via your phone. Potential issues can also be detected remotely, so you can address minor issues before they become major repairs.
