Types of systems

Single and Two Stage AC Units

Single stage units always operate at one speed – 100% capacity. This means they are either running at full blast or not at all. If you have an older home, you may have this type of unit. In today’s high-tech world, this is considered the least efficient.
The 2-stage system is the middle ground between single and variable speed. This system has two speeds: Full and Part capacity. This system will run at the lower speed when it is not very hot out and doesn’t need the full capacity of the unit.
The benefit is a more even temperature throughout the home along with better dehumidification, making you feel more comfortable.

Variable Speed AC Units

Variable speed units are designed to match the cooling needs of your home at any given time. They offer the ability to have the perfect sized air conditioner in your home no matter what the conditions. Variable speed units offer precision comfort and maximum dehumidification capabilities.

Since it operates at extremely low speeds, it uses only minimal energy to keep your home comfortable. Therefore, it remains the most energy-efficient and cost-saving option.

Mini Split AC Units

When only specific rooms need cooling and heating, Mini Split AC units provide a smart, flexible solution. Mini Splits are very quiet, easy to control, and very efficient. Mini splits are great for 2nd floor bedrooms, sun rooms, bonus rooms over garages, and cape cod style homes. Learn more >.

Allgeier Air recommends only the highest quality brands and products.

AMANA 2 stage 16 SEER

A high efficiency unit that operates quietly with innovative technology, this solution ensures your heating and cooling system operates at peak performance.

The AMANA Heat Pump with Inverter Technology 20 SEER is a high efficiency unit that provides both heating and cooling.

When this unit is paired with an Amana® brand gas furnace, it uses unique technology to make automatic adjustments, reducing the amount of energy used to cool your home. As a result, heat pumps are more efficient.  They work the same as an air conditioner in the summer yet run in reverse in the winter to heat your home.

Ductless Mini Split

A ductless heat pump or air conditioner consists of two units: a mounted indoor unit combined with an outside compressor. This solution is ideal for heating and cooling small spaces like single rooms or supplementing your current system. They are often used for older homes, renovations, and updates as they do not require existing ducts for installation.

Unlike window units, ductless units require only a very small hole to be drilled into the wall, making them less susceptible to air leakage and security problems. Plus, they’re visually appealing and quiet.

Compact, energy-efficient, and a variety of mounting options make the ductless mini split a wise choice. Ideal situations include:

      • 2nd story bedrooms
      • New additions
      • Garage apartments
      • Bonus rooms
      • Sunrooms
      • Hot and cold spots

Zoning Systems

Zoning systems give you the convenience of setting thermostats at different temperatures in up to 4 separate zones in your home. As a result, members of your family can personalize their temperature, depending on which zone they are located.

When used correctly, this leads to cost savings, improved efficiency, and a happier household.

Allgeier Air offers quality air conditioning and heating equipment to Louisville homeowners. We only sell HVAC units from manufacturers who have a proven track record of after sales service support.

Our AC went out the night before H.S. graduation. Hosting family, etc. the next day, it could not have been a worse time. I called Allgeier Air and they were very friendly & professional. They worked me in their schedule and had my AC working by mid-afternoon. Ronny (service tech) was honest and professional. He correctly diagnosed the problem and had us up and running on the same trip. I would highly recommend Allgeier Air for professional, upfront and honest service. Thank you Allgeier Air!
